Become the leader you were made to be
I’m an executive coach, writer, and former startup executive dedicated to helping mission-driven creators like you scale your business without losing yourself.
Businesses only grow at the rate their founders are willing to grow. So… what’s stopping you?
Hey there,
If you’ve landed on this page, it’s likely that you’re a creator or entrepreneur. Or perhaps you’re hoping to become one some day. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re an established seven-figure creator – you belong here. I hope you’ll find something to inspire you on your journey to reach your full potential and experience a sense of wholeness through my podcast, coaching work, or writing.
I think of the term “creator” as anyone building an online audience to support a thriving business, rooted in service to others. I’ve worked with creators across verticals: YouTube, entrepreneurship, food, travel, design and many more. And whether they’re earning revenue in the six- or seven-figure range or otherwise, what I know is this…
Every entrepreneur, whether you believe you’re a “creator” or not, struggles with the inner journey of outward success. Imposter syndrome. Outdated patterns of thinking.
It’s my life’s work to help successful people like you navigate the psychological and emotional barriers to sustained growth—all while building wealth and reaching your fullest entrepreneurial potential.

My work is rooted in 15 years spent as an entrepreneur and creator myself
Throughout that time, I’ve quietly become one of the most experienced and knowledgeable folks on the creator economy (which wasn’t even a coined term when I got started!).
Here’s a quick timeline of how I built that expertise:
Started my first online business, Living for Monday, where I ran my first blog and podcast as well as created my first digital products.
Got my first big break by going to work for Seth Godin on Krypton, an online community college based on the work of some of the world’s top authors.

Gave my first big talk on the TEDxUGA stage about what I learned about meaningful work while running my first business.
Shut down Living for Monday and went to work as Director of Marketing at Fizzle.co, which was like Lynda.com for the creator economy.
Started taking my first coaching clients and became Director of Marketing at Kit (previously ConvertKit), an email marketing platform serving professional creators.
Promoted to COO at Kit, where I helped grow the company from $3M-30M in annual revenue and had 65/75 people on the team reporting to me.
Burnt out, lost, and disconnected from what mattered to me, I left my role as COO and spent 18 months running career experiments (including a project with working for Seth Godin again as managing editor of The Carbon Almanac).
Gained the courage to become an entrepreneur again despite major life changes since the first experience (like getting married and having kids!).

On the personal side, I’m based in Portland, Oregon, where I live multi-generationally with my wife, our two sons, my in-laws, and our crazy ass dog. I was raised in Atlanta on hip-hop, sports, and Southern hospitality. I find peace and joy on hikes through quiet forests, hosting dinner parties for friends, reading a great book, or helping others grow into their full potential—personally and professionally.
